credit report blocks
I have something fraudulent on my credit report. I need to be removed, what is the procedure for that?
A account was opened using my personal information, and a debt is owed to a company. I told several collection agencies that This is a fraudulent account and I'm not going to pay. Since then he has shown in my credit report and seriously affects my credit. How can I get this blocked or deleted? Please provide information or resources. Thank you!
1. Report it to police as "identity theft". 2. Send letters to all three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) saying that you disagree with this bill (or collection or otherwise) on the grounds that you do not open or use the account.
