I’m looking for a form letter to dispute some things on my credit report?
I’m trying to fix my credit (without an expensive lawyer) I was told I could send my creditors a letter to dispute what they say I owe them. But where can I find a form letter or example that I can go off of?
Consumers write letter’s to the credit bureau’s every day hand written and printed on all types of paper disputing an account, (not mine, paid, etc.). Be sure to send in copies of all receipts, etc. explaining your specific situation along with ssn, etc.
They in turn call the creditor(s) and the creditors must verify the info they have on you is correct, otherwise it will be updated or removed in the customer’s favor

You would be surprised at the errors, particularly banks, made all the time. So it is a good idea to get your report every year from all three major bureaus and keep up with the information. Be sure you specify the account number(s). Again, you don’t need a form.
