credit report experian
If I requested my first credit report (Experian) does that mean that I am not listed beforehand ?
I am interested in using Experian for a credit reoport but I would like to know if by requesting my first credit report I am , in fact, letting Experian create a poor profile of me financially that otherwise would not exist? In other words would it be best to leave it a while until the point (on record) in my financial history is better ??

By requesting your report, you are simply registering a “search” on your file in your own name. It does not affect your report in any other way and the information that you have made a search on yourself is not available to anyone else.
If you know your credit history is poor, then it is a good idea to check your report thoroughly and regularly to make sure that it is correct. Even the slightest error regarding financial history, registered addresses, etc., can and may affect your ability to borrow or finance anything in the future.
I am a member and check once a month and they send me alert emails when anything changes on my file, so that I can double check things.
If you propose to finance and borrow money in the future, it is always best to have as clear a history as possible as lender will do a search on you. If the lender decides not to lend to you, that refusal will be entered on to your file and be seen by the next lender who you apply to . . . i.e. bad gets worse unless you clean things up and only apply for credit when you know you will be accepted. Conversely, the more you are times you are accepted, the more credit worthy you become.
