credit report freeze
credit report freeze
Can I pull a credit report on myself if I have a credit freeze in place?
Will the credit bureaus still allow me to get a credit report if I have placed a credit freeze?
A “Credit Freeze” does exactly that – - – freezes your credit and it prevents anyone who might steal your identity from opening any account. It costs $10 per credit bureau ($30 total) and then you have to pay to get it temporarily “unfrozen” in the event you want to apply for a loan or credit. Clark Howard talks about it on his show.
If you have a actual freeze on your credit then no you can not pull your credit yourself until you contact the credit bureaus and remove the freeze.
The whole purpose of a freeze is to stop people from being able to pull your credit and that includes you.
