Job searches/credit report?
I recently moved from another state and have been on the internet looking for a job though various job sites, I send my resume and in response to that I get an email back saying they have my resume, but need me to go to a credit check link. Once I get my “free” credit report I should email them back to set up an interview. why not interview me first then ask for a credit report? Is this a scam or have other people run into this?
Some employers check your credit rating before they consider hiring you. They may be sending you a “hint” to check your credit history/rating.
But, be careful…………
