You read it right! Increasingly, the Employers are getting copies of your credit report to see how you are responsible for handling money. This information is critical factoring in their overall impression of you.

According to an article on The Wall Street Journal Career Site, a survey by the Society for Human Resource Management found that 35% of employers checked credit reports. That was in 2003. It's even higher today.

There is no law preventing employers to investigate your credit report and use information to make a decision negative about you.

So what can you do? Fight back! Here are some tips for hunting important work that has put the ball in your court and pave the way your employment prospects:

1. Check your credit report before applying for a job. If you find an error, contact the agency credit. They are required to investigate any disputed items.

2. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, an employer must get your written authorization before accessing your credit report.

3. If an employer refuses your application that they must give you a copy and tell you how you can dispute inaccuracies with the credit bureau.

4. If you have a credit problem, it is best to contact you soon the starting line.

5. Be prepared to show your strengths, capabilities and assets that your report to conceal credit.
