Credit Report hurting my job search?
I have a perfect resume, outstanding references, excellent interview – but still no job! I did file bankrupcty due to divorce of idiot ex-husband…could this be hurting my job search (credit report)?
I have not signed anything for the positions that I recently interviewed. I just need a job – very discouraging!
Absolutely, it’s quite common for employers to check your credit and base hiring you on it. You should know for sure in each case. If you are signing an authorization to check your credit(usually a line in the terms at the end of a resume, sometimes a separate paper) then you can usually count on it having an effect.
If you don’t sign your permission to check your credit they shouldn’t be, maybe it’s just because jobs are hard to come by.
