How do judgments get on your credit report?
Does the creditor who was awarded the judgment put it on a persons credit report or does the court put it on the persons credit report when its granted.
Kim is incorrect. It is the creditor that makes the decision weather or not to put a judgment on a persons bureau. I talk to them almost every day and some will and some won’t. And if they do? They might put it on one bureau and not on another. I see people every day that have judgments on one bureau and not another.
As a matter of fact I spoke with a creditor today and made a deal with them that if they would not report to any of the bureaus that my customer would pay them in full. Had a fax from them agreeing on my desk in less than 1-hour.
