TransUnion has merged my credit report with someone else?
I checked my credit on TransUnion and found out that I had an additional name on my credit record with them, and all her crap was on my record! I already called TransUnion to dispute this, but I’d love to know if anyone else had this happen to them and what you did about it. Thanks! PS, So far as I know, Experian and Equifax didn’t have this problem with my reports.
I only discovered this today, but I have a feeling this has been on my report for a while. And I definitely intend to keep following up. I guess I just need encouragement to beleive that it can really get fixed up.
This happened to me specifically with TransUnion only. It took my ex’s addresses and information 2 years after the divorce and put it on my credit report. They based the “new” information only on a mail forwarding order with the US Post Office. Real reliable source!!
