Is stating the name like ENT(ear nose throat) and radiology violating the privacy act on your credit report?
on my report they have that and other names that define the type of service recieved. Can I get these removed for violations?
no, hipaa doesnt work like that. if you went to the doc’s for something private and the credit report it said you paid for your venereal disease test of whatever nature, then that would be a violation of your privacy and your doctors office would be terribly liable. i could have been at the doctors that day and have seen you go into radiology.. so that doesnt break any real confidentiallity between you and your health care providers.
