Whats is illegal on credit report repair?
I seing people advertizing making your credit get a bust of 120 points in 30 day for 29 a month! Is that legal. They do not explain what they do, or how they do and the legal consequences.
It’s perfectly legal, although you could do it yourself for only the cost of postage and your time.
Simply put, these repair places improve your score by making your creditors/collection agencies jump through all kinds of hoops to prove you owe this debt. This includes disputes and debt validation mainly.

More often than not, the collection agencies cannot meet the requirements needed, or they simply don’t want to bother with it so the listing is deleted.
As far as it being illegal, you will have some people here tell you that disputing a listing you know is valid can be fraud…that is 100% FALSE. You have the RIGHT to dispute ANY listing on your credit report.
