I have been asked to go to more “free credit report” sites to fill out credit info for a job. Whats up w/this?
Every time that I apply for a job online, they want you to go to this “free credit report” site to complete the information to check your credit and there is always a “small” fee attached to it. I don’t know these companies, I don’t want to pay for it, I just want to work!! Anyone else going through the same thing? Any suggestions?
There is no way I would send a copy of my credit report with a job application. If a potential employer wants to check my credit, let them pay for the report. Normally, an employer would not do a credit check unless they were going to offer you the job.
Sounds more like phishing for your personal info that a real job.
