why are my DOB in company searches different on my credit report?

my date of birth is different on some of the searches made by some companies on my credit report&#8230;(uk).. companies i don&#8217;t recognise are on it too&#8230; i didn&#8217;t apply for credit&#8230;with these cmpanies&#8230;. has my identity been stolen????
